The day before Thanksgiving in 2000, DeShanna “DeeDee” Gray was seen walking along Crawford Street in Logansport's Japan Quarters area. At about 11 a.m., the 29-year-old got into a small blue pickup truck and drove away.
According to NamUs and The Charley Project, the truck may have carried Texas or Arkansas license plates and was driven by a white man. No publicly available information has identified the driver or explained whether investigators ever determined who owned the vehicle.
Further, DeShanna was two months pregnant when she vanished on November 22, 2000. She also left behind two children. Her mother later said her daughter had never simply disappeared before, making her absence particularly unusual.

Years passed without a public break in the case. In 2011, DeShanna’s mother and brother provided DNA samples so her genetic profile could be added to national databases used to compare missing people with unidentified remains. Investigators submitted the samples through Louisiana’s forensic missing persons program after reviewing older cases in DeSoto Parish.
Her disappearance remains unsolved.
