Brittany Palmer, 23: Vanished After Visiting Friend's Mother In 2020
Her remains were located and later identified in 2022.
*UPDATE* Sadly, in 2022, the remains of Brittany Palmer were identified. According to reports, Brittany's remains were actually located back in October 2020, but took some time to be positively identified. You can read more about that here.

Brittany Palmer was involved in a car accident years before she went missing. She suffered a traumatic brain injury, and as a result, Brittany walked with a limp and used either a cane or a walker.
The injury did not stop Brittany from living as normal a life as possible, but in August 2020, the unthinkable occurred. It was on August 22 that the 23-year-old was reportedly at her friend’s mother’s home in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, but she disappeared sometime during her travels.

According to reports, Brittany was in the area of Baldwin Street and Barber Street to visit a friend and, at one point, reached out to her mother.
“When I spoke with her that day, I already knew what was wrong with her,” said Vontria Mobley, Brittany’s mom. “It was about an incident about money that she received and someone took it. I told her to call me back and momma will resolve it, just call me back.”
She never spoke with her daughter again.
A day later at 3:00 a.m., Vontria received a phone call from Brittany’s phone. When she called it back, it wasn’t her daughter who answered—a strange woman told the concerned mother she had purchased the phone from someone.
Vontria told reporters that her daughter got caught up in the wrong crowd, which may have targeted Brittany for her money. Brittany’s twin sister, Brianna, described her as someone who gave those who did her wrong too many second chances.
Further, Brittany reportedly had a rift with friends who she believed stole money from her, but details about the accusations have not been explained in reports, and it is unclear if authorities believe the information is somehow connected to her case.
“She was always the type to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I know she was still angry about her money,” Brianna said. She was asked if she trusted people easily. “Yes. I think she was too trusting.”
“If you have Brittany, just let her go,” said Vontria. “Let her make a phone call. She knows my number. Drop her off at a hospital, something, just let her go.”
At the time of her disappearance, Brittany Palmer stood 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighed 120 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair with blonde/gold tips and brown eyes.
Both of her ears are pierced, and she has several tattoos: pink flowers and a butterfly on her upper arm, the word “Loyal” on her chest, paw prints on her thigh, and others on her forearm and wrist. Brittany was last seen wearing a burgundy top with gray pants.
