Veverly Mitchell, 55: Went To Holiday Gathering & Was Never Seen Again
She visited with family on Christmas Day in 2017 and seemingly vanished.
A holiday celebration for a Georgia family turned into a years-long mystery. It was on December 25, 2017, when Veverly Mitchell of Decatur, Georgia, was reportedly visiting a family member’s home for Christmas. Details regarding this case are unknown because finding out anything about Veverly and what may have happened to her four years ago has been almost impossible.

Like many cases I’ve covered here on OBG, there don’t seem to be any accessible news reports shared online. Most websites that have acknowledged this case carry the same information, consisting of one sentence stating that Veverly was with relatives and was never seen again. When she may have left the residence, whether she drove or got a ride, or walked away from the home, and any variation of speculation has not been shared.
Additionally, any information regarding Veverly’s home and work life is unknown. Only one photo of her has surfaced online.
Veverly Mitchell: What To Know
At the time of her disappearance, Veverly Mitchell stood 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 140 to 150 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, although some agencies describe her eye color as “black.” Her hair was usually worn in braids or a ponytail, and Veverly was known to wear hazel/brown contacts. She had a childhood scar on her forehead, a split left earlobe, and a significant gap between her front upper teeth. The clothing Veverly was last seen wearing has not been shared publicly. Her middle name is “Ann.” She would be 59 years old at the time of this publication.
