Veronda Sanders, 60: Disappeared In 2018 During A Bike Ride
Her bicycle has never been located, either.
The family of Veronda Sanders has been impatiently awaiting any news about the missing 60-year-old woman. It has been shared that she left her home in Houston, Texas, on her bicycle and never returned.
A report by the Houston Chronicle states that Veronda was riding through South Park on October 17, 2018, near MLK Blvd. and Bellfort Ave, when she went missing. Any details about where she may have been going, whether she was meeting up with someone, or whether her cellphone pinged any locations are unknown.

Veronda’s bicycle is described as a Huffy Good Vibrations Women’s Cruiser, light teal in color. It had a black seat, no fenders, and no basket. Like Veronda, the bike has never been located.
In 2022, Fox 26 spoke with Veronda’s relatives.
“We haven’t had anything close to this moment in four years,” said Lorinda Roy, Veronda’s niece. “It’s a constant nudge, it’s a constant pulling, a constant tugging. On one hand, when you don’t think about it, you feel bad, but when you do think about it, it’s a flood of emotions from anger to hurt, and could something have been done differently.”
Veronda’s other niece, Starlet Timmons, believed that “once they heard her story, they were like nobody cared.” The missing woman’s family stated that because Veronda struggled with a drug habit, her case wasn’t covered or taken seriously.
“She exists, she exists, and she deserves to be remembered, and as long as we have no closure, she’ll always exist to us,” Lorinda added.
