Sherline Johnson, 35: Went To Visit A Friend & Never Returned In 1997
She was reportedly diagnosed with diabetes, schizophrenia, and heart problems.
She vanished from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1997, but few people are aware of Sherline Johnson. To be fair, the general public may be unfamiliar with her story because not much has been mentioned about the 35-year-old woman. She was last seen on May 1, and despite being in a busy metropolis with millions of people, Sherline disappeared and was never seen or heard from again.

According to reports, Sherline Johnson may have been last seen in the area of the 1200 block of South Carlisle Street or the 2500 block of Washington Street. She left her residence on Siegel Street and said she was going out with a female friend, but she never returned. It is unclear who Sherline gave that information to or who that friend was; where she may have been going has not been shared publicly.
The Doe Network also reported that Sherline was diagnosed with diabetes, schizophrenia, and heart problems. It is unknown if she was taking any prescription medications for her health issues, but Sherline "has abused drugs" and may have had a substance abuse issue when she went missing.
"She got involved with some drugs and things like that," her sister Charlotte Johnson told ABC 6 News. "You know she suffered with schizophrenia... Sherline was always present in our lives. Even during the time when she was struggling, she was always present." Charlotte added, "I think that the friend that she went to go see did something horrible to Sherline. I really do."
