Roberta Mitchell, 31: Mentally Disabled Woman Vanishes In 2000
She reportedly had the mental capacity of a 12-year-old & was trusting of people.
It’s surprising that a 31-year-old mentally disabled woman can go missing from a major city and still receive little to no coverage. It was back in 2000 when Roberta Mitchell disappeared, and while authorities may have actively investigated this case all those years ago, there doesn’t seem to be any new movement in recent years.

According to reports, Roberta Mitchell lived in Camden, New Jersey, in a home she shared with her father. The residence was reportedly located on the 2000 block of Arlington Street, and on September 2, 2000, Roberta was said to be home, sleeping, when her father left for work. What happened after that remains a mystery, as no one has seen or heard from Roberta since that time.
The Charley Project reported that Roberta regularly visited a shopping area in Camden in the 2000 block of Mount Ephraim Avenue and would also patronize another area around 8th Street and Carl Miller Boulevard. Roberta is described as having the mental capacity of a 12-year-old, and as a result, she is naive and impressionable. It wouldn’t be difficult for someone to gain her trust.
