It's unclear what occurred during her journey, but little Phyllis Gilliam was never seen or heard from again.

Whether or not Phyllis ever reached her destination remains a mystery, as do other details. Were there witnesses who saw her during her trip, or did she stop and speak to anyone? How far away was the laundromat from her grandmother's home? And had Phyllis made that walk alone before?
