Marilyn’s Last Known Movements
According to reports, Marilyn Lanier was last seen in the 7500 block of Broad Street on March 30, 2003. It is presumed that was the location of her residence where she lived with her boyfriend.
It was approximately 7:00 p.m. when Marilyn and her beau were at odds. He would later tell police it was because he was trying to convince her to enter a drug rehabilitation program. He claimed Marilyn did not want to go, so she stormed out of their apartment. The severity of her alleged substance abuse is unknown, but it was reported that she has a long history of drug use.
Marilyn was never seen again, and it is unknown where she was headed when she supposedly left.
It has been stated that she was known to hang around a particular strip mall called the Progress Plaza in northern Philadelphia. However, reports state that her family told authorities it was unlike Marilyn to leave without alerting or contacting her loved ones. The 45-year-old also lived with schizophrenia, which could play a factor in her case.
