Kreneice Jones, 3: Went Missing With 2-Year-Old LaMoine Allen In 1992
The two children were last seen playing outside of a grocery store in rural Mississippi.
There is about a three-hour stretch from Jackson, Mississippi, to Woodville. The small town had fewer than 900 residents in the 2021 census, so one can only imagine what the area was like back in 1992, when Kreneice Jones went missing. On May 10 of that year, the three-year-old was with two-year-old LaMoine Allen, playing in front of a local store before they vanished.

According to reports, Kreneice and LaMoine were near the rural Jimmy Jackson Grocery Store on Highway 24 with upwards of 20 other people. The youngsters were spotted playing with a handful of other children before Kreneice and LaMoine were shooed away.
Kreneice was at the store with her father, who was reportedly separated from her mother. Further, LaMoine was there with relatives he lived with in Edgar, Louisiana, about two hours away.
A woman driving by around 4:00 p.m. told police she saw the children outside at that time. Hers would be the last account of their whereabouts.
Investigators unleashed an extensive search of the area, but no trace of LaMoine or Kreneice was located. The town sits in a wooded area with several waterways; no evidence of the children was found.
It was learned that an unfamiliar vehicle was in the area at the time, described as a “blue compact car with a false convertible top, chrome hubcaps, and dark tinted windows.” However, whether the vehicle is connected to the missing children is unknown.
It is believed that a non-family member abducted the children. Police reportedly questioned several relatives and deduced they were not involved in the children’s disappearance.
