A blue Ford Mustang found abandoned in Mississippi became one of the few publicly known clues in the disappearance of a Louisiana woman whose family had not heard from her in more than a month.
Kionna Macon, 47, was reported missing from LaPlace in St. John the Baptist Parish on November 23, 2021. According to WDSU, investigators said Macon’s last known contact with relatives had been around October 20.
By the time authorities appealed to the public for help, Macon’s vehicle had already surfaced in another state.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office found her Mustang abandoned near Kiln, Mississippi. Macon was nowhere near the car, but her Louisiana identification card was still inside.
