Khiara Henry, 23: Mysteriously Vanished While On Vacation In 2019
Her rental car was found abandoned at Waiʻānapanapa State Park in Hawaii.
A young woman disappeared from Hawaii while on vacation, and her loved ones are hoping that someone can give them answers. Khiara Henry, 23, was last seen in Maui on July 21, 2019, after traveling to Hawaii from San Diego, Calif. She was reportedly staying at a hotel in Kihei, and at 2:00 p.m. the day she disappeared, she rented a vehicle for one evening. She planned to visit Waiʻānapanapa State Park in Hana, but what happened to Khiara remains a mystery.

Two days later, the rental car was found in the park's gravel parking lot. It had been abandoned, and many of Khiara’s personal belongings were still inside, including her luggage, credit card, and identification. However, other items, such as the car key, her cell phone, and a small backpack she carried with her, haven’t been found. When the mileage on the rental vehicle was inspected, authorities concluded that it showed Khiara Henry drove from the point of vehicle pickup directly to the park. She was scheduled to fly back home on July 29, 2019, but she didn’t make her flight and remains missing.
Some have suggested that Khiara left of her own volition, but her family refutes those claims because she was so close to her loved ones. According to reports, Khiara’s father described her as an adventurous person who enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking.
