Investigators had few publicly known clues after an 18-year-old woman disappeared from DeKalb County. One emerged the following February, when the van she had been driving was found abandoned.
Jasmine Unique Earl was last seen in the Norcross area on June 14, 2005. She was driving a blue 1989 Chevrolet Astro van with Georgia license plate 903LAA when she disappeared, according to NamUs and the Black and Missing Foundation. She has not been seen or heard from since.
The van was later found abandoned in the 4600 block of Dawson Boulevard. Authorities have released little information about the condition of the vehicle, how long it had been there, or whether investigators recovered anything that helped determine what happened to Jasmine.

One of the few additional accounts of Jasmine’s final movements came from someone who identified themselves as Jasmine’s cousin and participated in an online discussion about the case during the early search. As later documented by True Case Files, the relative said the family believed Jasmine had last been seen at a Washington Mutual bank on Chamblee-Tucker Road. She also said Jasmine being out of contact with her family was unusual and later wrote that the recovered van had not provided them with additional clues.
Investigators have not publicly confirmed those details.
