Ira Elizabeth Shaw, 15: Last Seen Leaving An Austin Library In 1978
Ira picked up a summer job at the library and was last seen leaving the location.
There are only a few sentences made available regarding missing teen Ira Elizabeth Shaw. Yet, even within the minimal information that can be found, there isn't anything to suggest that Ira was a young lady involved with trouble. In the summer of 1978, the 15-year-old was said to have even picked up a job at a local library to occupy her time and make some money. However, that would also be the last place anyone saw Ira Shaw.
According to the National Missing & Unidentified Persons System, on June 19, 1978, Ira was last seen around 5:00 p.m. She was spotted leaving the Lyndon B Johnson Library, located at 2313 Red River St. It's stated that Ira was walking to her aunt's home, where she was meeting up with her mother.
Any other details regarding this case are unknown. If the authorities have persons of interest or suspects who are unknown, and the status of this investigation has not been shared at all. Ira Elizabeth Shaw wasn't added to the government's NamUs database until July 2023.

At the time of her disappearance, Ira Elizabeth Shaw stood 5 feet tall and 120 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. Ira has a large light-colored birthmark on the front of her right leg. It extends from her pelvis and down her thigh.
