Floreanne Mayfield, 70: Has Alzheimer's & Wandered From Casino
Police believe she may have received a ride from a stranger.
This story of Floreanne Mayfield touched my heart.
On November 20, 2016, Floreanne visited the Hollywood Casino in Kansas City, Kansas. Around 1:30 a.m., the 70-year-old left the casino and was seen heading south on Hollywood Casino Blvd. on foot. She was captured by the casino surveillance cameras exiting the premises. Floreanne Mayfield has Alzheimer's disease, and police believe she may have become confused and gotten a ride from someone at some point during her walk.
Almost two years later, no one has seen or heard from Floreanne. A Silver Alert (similar to an Amber Alert) was issued when she went missing. Investigators have attempted to gather information, but there weren't any substantial leads.
It's unclear if any other street or security cameras may have captured when and where Floreanne seemed to have disappeared. Very little information has been made available in her case, and reports about Floreanne Mayfield are scarce.
