A white T-shirt, blue jeans, and a gold necklace are among the few details documented about the day a South Carolina teenager disappeared. Donna Shareen Wright was 17 years old when she was last seen in Beech Island, a community in Aiken County, on June 28, 1989. Publicly available records do not establish where she was going, whom she may have encountered, or what happened afterward.
Donna came from a large family with 13 siblings. According to The Charley Project, 12 of her siblings were still living when the case information was documented. Her mother died in 2005, more than 15 years after Donna vanished.
In September 2023, The Aiken Standard listed Donna among eight people missing in Aiken County. Her disappearance remains unresolved.
