Very little has been shared about her case.
There doesn’t seem to be any investigating agencies looking into this case, but I believe the story involving this unidentified woman in Cook County, Illinois, deserves to be highlighted.

While searching for information through NamUs, I came across a woman who was found deceased in Illinois on September 13, 2016. The exact location is unknown.
NamUs reports that Cook County Jane Doe 2016 was found deceased inside an “unsecure home.” It was clear that she had been there for some time, as the outlet reported that she was a “near complete or complete skeleton.” Information regarding how her body was found and the home’s condition wasn’t listed in the report.
Because of the condition of the remains, the medical examiner concluded that Cook County Jane Doe 2016 may have been between 40 and 60 years old and was approximately 5 feet tall. Her hair color was listed as black and gray, and she was described as having short, tightly curled hair. It doesn’t look like her manner of death was determined, but that could have changed since NamUs first reported on her case.
When found, Jane Doe was wearing: a white and red striped button-down long-sleeve shirt (Brand: George, Size: Medium), a pair of gray pants (Brand: Scrub Studio), a pair of white underwear, and a white sock on the right foot.
